Admissions

The school application process can be a little tricky but there is always someone available at school to offer help and advice. Here are some simple guidelines with links to the necessary websites:-

NURSERY ADMISSIONS

  • Places are allocated by the school.

  • We have one intake in September.

  • We offer a place for either 5 mornings or 5 afternoon sessions a week.

  • If there are more requests for places than there are places available, the school’s oversubscription criteria will be used to decide admissions.

  • If you are interested in a Nursery place at our school, then please contact the school office with the following information:

Your child’s full name and date of birth

    Home address

    Telephone numbers (2 if possible)

  • You will then receive a letter in January of the year in which your child is due to start in our Nursery inviting you to complete a formal application.

  • Letters will be sent out in March informing you if you have been successful in securing a place for your child.

    RECEPTION ADMISSIONS

  • Places are allocated centrally from the local authority.

  • Parents must complete an on-line application on the local authority’s website between November and January.

  • Parents who live in Manchester must apply via the Manchester City Council website: http://www.manchester.gov.uk/admissions

  • Parents who live in Tameside must apply via the Tameside MBC website:

    http://www.tameside.gov.uk/admissions

  • Late applications may mean that you do not get a place at the school of your choice.

    IN YEAR SCHOOL TRANSFERS

If for any reason you need to transfer your child to another school, then please contact the school office for a transfer request form.

    MOVING ON TO SECONDARY SCHOOL
