After School Clubs
At Fairfield Road Primary School, we pride ourselves on giving pupils a well-rounded education, which includes extra curricular activities. Some of the after school clubs on offer change each half term and some remain the same. Please see the timetables below to show which after school clubs have been offered this year.
If you wish to apply for a place for your child to attend an after school club, please keep an eye on Dojo and, when released, complete the appropriate form to request a place. Please note that we try to distribute places fairly across year groups and priority will be given to pupils who have not yet attended an after school club in the current academic year.

Fairfield Road's Choir
The Fairfield Road Primary School Choir is a dynamic group of around 40 Key Stage 2 singers who rehearse weekly on Tuesdays after school. Committed to developing strong musical skills, the choir learns performance and vocal techniques through a diverse repertoire that challenges and excites them.
Choir members practice singing in two- and three-part harmony, using the solfa methodology to refine their pitch accuracy and harmony skills.
Throughout the year, the choir has numerous opportunities to showcase their talents both within school and beyond.
They collaborate closely with Tameside Music Services and the Greater Manchester Music Hub, participating in events such as Big Sings, workshops, Christmas concerts, and vocal evenings. These partnerships offer the students rich musical experiences, exposing them to new styles and performance settings.
One of the highlights for Fairfield Road choir members is the chance to perform in some of Manchester’s premier venues, including The Stoller Hall and the iconic Bridgewater Hall. These prestigious stages provide an inspiring environment for the young singers to share their hard work and joy for music with larger audiences, boosting their confidence and creating lasting memories as part of the Fairfield Road community.
Feedback about our school choir:
"I just wanted to congratulate the choir on an amazing performance at Droylsden Academy on Thursday night. It was such a lovely, professional performance and they should all be very proud of themselves. Every member of the choir had a big smile on their face and they gave it their all - an excellent performance. Well done."
"I felt I had to contact you with regard to the performance your pupils made at Droylsden Academy last night. The singing from your pupils was outstanding, we were absolutely amazed by their beautiful harmonies. Our congratulations to the teacher who must have worked very hard to bring such a great choir together. Obviously the children were enjoying themselves showing what a happy environment your school must be. Please pass our praises on to everyone involved."
