Welcome to Year Two!

Together Everyone Achieves More

TOGETHER, as a team, we will ensure that EVERYONE in our school is safe, happy and healthy.

We will strive to make our school a place where each child ACHIEVES their potential, develops their skills and deepens their knowledge and understanding of this ever-changing world.

The MORE we work together as a community, the closer we will be to our vision of prosperous futures for every child we nurture.

School Mission

For pupils to determine their own futures by getting the very best start in life.

School Values

Friendship

Achievement

Independence

Respect

Forgiveness

Integrity

Enthusiasm

Loyalty

Determination

MEET THE YEAR 2 TEAM:

2KW - Mrs Ward, Miss Hall

2GJ - Miss Johnston, Miss Wilson

We also have two specialist teachers who work with Year Two on a Tuesday:

Mr. Rees - Music

Mr Warren - P.E

READING

Please could we remind you that your child's reading book and reading record must be brought into school every day. Reading is extremely important and our wish at Fairfield is that every child reads a minimum of three times a week at home and gets their reading record signed by an adult.

HOMEWORK

Spellings will be issued each Friday for children to practise at home. We also dedicate time in class each day to learn spelling patterns. Reading is another part of homework and we expect children to read to an adult at home at least three times per week.

CONTACT

We are always available at the end of the school day if you have any questions or you can contact us through Class Dojo.
